Hex Tent
A pop-up tent made from lace food covers, bamboo, and safety pins
Artist Statement
Created to highlight the possibilities that reside inside everyday objects, Hex Tent brings to life 15 collapsable food covers, supported by a simple bamboo pole and the tension created when the covers are pinned together. In showcasing this piece in public, on the Oval green in front of Stanford's main quad, I hoped to engage with my friends and with strangers, using the tent to demonstrate what is possible with household materials.
